Poland is one of the several countries carrying out programmes financed by the Norwegian government and the governments of EEA countries. GRIEG is a call for research projects carried out jointly by research teams from Poland and Norway. Research teams are led by a Polish institution and must include at least one Norwegian partner.

GRIEG is one of the three calls for proposals funded under the third edition of the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021 under the “Research” Programme, with NCN as the Programme Operator in charge of basic research. The aim of the “Research” Programme with an allocated budget of more than EUR 129 million is to support Polish research and enhance cooperation between science, business and society. In April 2020, Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski and Dr Wojciech Pokrzywa have received funding under the GRIEG call.
