POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology

Post
Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to study to study various aspects of mTOR contribution to regulation of retromer complex in neuronal development and neurodevelopmental diseases. These positions are funded in frame of National Science Centre OPUS grant (2017/27/B/NZ3/01358) entitled “Role of TBC1D5 phosphorylation in neurodevelopment and TSC-related cell pathology” and available for a period of up to 12 and 32 months, respectively. The candidates should be highly motivated and independent young researchers with a good publication track record, speaking fluent English and having practical skills in neurobiology (work with primary neuronal cultures and living animals), biochemistry (especially analysis of mass spectrometry results), molecular and cell biology, advanced high resolution and live imaging techniques (e.g. Airyscan microscopy, spinning disc microscopy).

Laboratory interest
Research of the Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology focuses on molecular aspects of development of neurons. We are especially interested in role of mTOR kinase regulated processes (e.g., cytoskeleton dynamics, protein translation, membrane trafficking) in neurogenesis starting from neural stem cells to the end of circuitry formation. More info can be found at IIMCB Annual Reports (http://www.iimcb.gov.pl/annual_reports.php).
