International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology

he IIMCB seeks a Director to provide scientific and operational leadership for one of Poland’s leading institutions in molecular and cell biology. The successful candidate will be appointed for 4 years, with a possibility of further extension. Candidates should hold a Ph.D, M.D./Ph.D, or equivalent degree in a relevant field of biology or medicine, have senior level scientific experience, an outstanding scientific record, and proven leadership in a major research unit. Salary and research support will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate. The position will be available from February 1, 2018.

The IIMCB is an independent, state of the art research facility located in a center of a large academic campus. IIMCB’s working language is English. The primary objective of the new director is to lead further development of the institute so that the IIMCB will continue to meet the highest scientific standards in forthcoming years. The successful candidate will be supported by an outstanding administrative staff, three deputy directors, and significant laboratory space and research funding. Preference will be given to applicants with research interests focused on problems in modern molecular biomedicine.
