Grants Specialist

The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) is looking for a Grants Specialist to administer innovative research grants from national and European competitive sources.

 



You will be responsible for:

  • monitoring relevant open calls for applications

  • gaining and transferring knowledge about the rules of funding programs to interested researchers

  • complex administrative, formal and financial managements of grants from proposal submission to project accomplishment

  • maintaining contacts with representatives of funding institutions with regard to managed projects

  • keeping record of all relevant documentation, updating and managing projects’ databases

  • cooperating with researchers and with in-house administrative units


You should:

  • have professional experience in management of grants funded from external competitive sources, preferably in science (National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development, Foundation for Polish Science, EU Framework Programmes)

  • have a reading comprehension of elaborate texts, such as legislative acts, calls’ regulations, etc.

  • be both a good mathematician (count well and quickly) and a humanist (have flair for writing texts)

  • have understanding of legal aspects of grants management

  • be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) 

  • have excellent oral and written communication skills both in Polish and English(good written and spoken English is a must!)

  • be able to work on different projects concurrently

  • be precise, scrupulous and pay attention to details 

  • work autonomously after having received initial training

  • have understanding of IPR and transfer of knowledge issues
