Postdoctoral Researcher

iimcb+hr

The Laboratory of RNA Biology at the International Institute of RNA Biology (IIMCB), Warsaw, headed by Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the project entitled “Functional interactions of human proteins involved in post-transcriptional regulatory mechanism” (POIR.04.04.00-00-1A72/16-00). This project is carried out within the TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund. The project focuses on identification of novel factors involved in RNA metabolism and description of novel functional interactions between the existing ones.

We are now looking for a post-doctoral researcher interested in the post-transcriptional gene expression regulatory mechanism experienced in the biology of RNA viruses and/or transcriptomics (bioinformatics).  For relevant recent publications, please see: Warkocki et al (2018) Cell; Bliska et al (2020) Nature Com;  Gewartowska et al (2020)  bioRxiv. The work will be carried out in collaboration with other group members, so we need a person who likes teamwork.

The team: The current group is composed of molecular biologists, bioinformaticians as well as researchers experienced in the usage of transgenic mouse models. See more: Laboratory of RNA Biology.

We offer an interdisciplinary, dynamic, and friendly environment.

The institution: The laboratory is located in the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (www.iimcb.gov.pl) – one of the top ranked (A+) Polish research institutes, that provides stimulating and interdisciplinary research environment and opportunities of the large biomedical campus. Research topics at IIMCB cover the wide area of structural biology, bioinformatics, computer modeling, molecular and cell biology, neurobiology, cancer biology, and developmental genomics (zebrafish model).
