The Laboratory of RNA Biology – ERA Chairs Group at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB), Warsaw, headed by Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski, is seeking a Master’s Student to join the project entitled “Functional interactions of human proteins involved in post-transcriptional regulatory mechanism” (POIR.04.04.00-00-1A72/16-00). This project is carried out within the TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund. The project focuses on identification of novel factors involved in RNA metabolism and description of novel functional interactions between the existing ones.

Candidates will be selected in an open competition, according to the procedure complying with the rules of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers as a part of HR Excellence in Research strategy.

As a Master’s student you will be responsible for conducting experiments under supervision of PI and post-docs and preparing annual reports.

Requirements for the candidate:

• Holds BSc degree (or equivalent) in biology or biochemistry, or related area (defended before the start of the work on the project)

• Has a proactive approach to achieving tasks and objectives, good interpersonal skills, a collaborative attitude

• Has experience in basic molecular biology and/or biochemistry techniques

• Has very good written and oral communication in English

• Enjoys working in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment
