Project description:    Dr Sabala’s team is focused on investigating of new antimicrobial proteins, their activity and potential applications as antimicrobial agents in various areas of industry. It requires involvement of experts in biochemistry (protein engineering, structural biology) nanomaterials, regenerative medicine and industrial biotechnology.  The successful candidate will be involved in an exciting multidisciplinary research programme which aims to develop new generation of effective, antimicrobial wound dressings. Project is carried out within the TeamTech programme of the Foundation for Polish Science

Key responsibilities:    
1. Biochemical, biophysical and structural characterization of proteins
2. Laboratory management
3. Technology transfer/IP protection

Profile of candidate:    
1. PhD degree in biological sciences
2. Solid knowledge and experience in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology
3. Postgraduate studies or practical experience in technology transfer
4. Experience in laboratory management
5. Good publication record
6. Very good oral and written command of English
