Project title:

INFECTLESS New generation of antibacterial wound dressing.

Project is carried out within the TeamTech programme of the Foundation for Polish Science

Project description:

Dr Sabala’s team is focused on investigating of new antimicrobial proteins, their activity and potential applications as antimicrobial agents in various areas of industry. It requires involvement of experts in biochemistry (protein engineering, structural biology) nanomaterials, regenerative medicine and industrial biotechnology. The successful candidate will be involved in an exciting multidisciplinary research programme which aims to develop new generation of effective, antimicrobial wound dressings.

Key responsibilities include:                                            

1. Production and purification of recombinant proteins

2. Biochemical and biophysical characterization of proteins

Profile of candidates/requirements:                    

1. BSc degree in biological sciences or related fields

2. Solid knowledge in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology

3. Laboratory experience in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology

4. Good oral and written command of English
